Users of two-wheeled vehicles are required to wear a helmet when driving. This has been clearly regulated, in article 57 paragraphs 1 and 2 of Law number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. The helmet used must also comply with the Indonesian National Standard or SNI. Its function is to protect the head from unwanted events, as well as to cover the head so that driving remains safe.

This is very likely to happen because the size of the helmet used does not match the size of the head. To avoid headaches, the size of the helmet should not be too small. On the other hand, don’t be too big.

If it is too big, it can make a lot of wind enter and interfere with the driver’s hearing and can interfere with concentration. For that, it would be nice before buying a helmet, consumers measure the circumference of the head first.

The recommended helmet sizes according to head size are as follows:

1. Head circumference 56-57 cm recommended helmet size S.
2. Head circumference 58 cm recommended helmet size M.
3. Head circumference 59-60 cm recommended helmet size L.
4. Head circumference 61-62 cm recommended helmet size XL.
5. Head circumference 62-64 cm recommended helmet size XXL.
